Helping Maggie fight her cancer!

Maggie is battling a rare form of childhood immature terratoma with PNET. Before she was diagnosed she was a bright funny little girl who loved angry birds and my little ponies .
Just prior to diagnoses we took her in basically for constipation with complications, after three ER visits the doctor noticed a large lump at her lower back...... At that moment we were pulled to a small private room and told the worst news that changed everything !! As weeks went by different diagnoses were placed in front of us , some were simple but most were terrible . Finally one was made after lots of research and contacts from across the U.S.
The diagnoses meant very heavy doses of chemo layed 3 weeks apart and the longest treatment was a mere 6 months due to it's intensity.
UPDATE:
In a routine follow up scan ( the scan that would hopefully tell us her port can finally be removed) the doctors noticed two nodules in her lungs. One of those nodules doubled in size .
Surgery is scheduled for February 12 to attempt to remove the larger nodule. It will be biopsied in house and Michigan where her tumor was initially diagnosed. If it comes back as cancer they will map out a new game plan that would include chemo and possibly radiation all over again. The hardest part is watching Maggie come this far and get through so much ( possible hearing loss, possible kidney damage, possible incotinance , lack of motion in legs/muscles) only to go through it again and face those challenges again.
We realize we won't reach our goal but every little bit counts in a BIG way!!!
