Fire Leaves Family in Need

Daicia, mother of two, recently relocated to the US to work as a server in a resort restaurant.
After losing her husband in 2011, she has worked back and forth for part of each year in the North East, sending her savings home to her children, who would be watched over by family in Jamaica.
Finally, this year, they made the journey together as a family and have goals for a better life in the states.
Moving her children from Jamaica to the chilly state of Vermont has been full of change and sacrifice.
Coats, blankets, boots & gloves- barely a season old, aided the adjustment.
Her children earned laptops for school, both excelling as new students- her daughter, recognized last semester by the National Honors Society.
But as of Thursday evening, everything is gone.
Daicia called to report everyone safe, but a horrible fire burned her new apartment and all of her families belongings.
