Fowler family robbed of family heirlooms

Hey y’all. Last Monday my grandmother’s house was broken into and robbed while she was up here in Denver getting medical care. The thieves were familiar with her house and knew exactly where to look for certain sentimental items, including dozens of irreplaceable family heirlooms.

They stole my aunt’s amazon fire stick and the chrome book she uses for work and schooling, which means they have to reset all of their accounts, and inside one of the two safes they took were the entire family’s birth certificates and other important documentation which means their credit is no longer safe. They took one of my younger cousin’s hoverboards (playing favorites between the two girls is the mo of the suspects), but not the other, and the thief knew exactly which Xbox device was bad, and took the new one. This Xbox in particular was a point of contention between one of the suspects and my aunt and the girls. The thieves took all of the chain mail jewelry the family has purchased over the past decade, and even the special glass baubles the girls got from their favorite fairy character from the Colorado renfair.

On top of the sentimental items, they also cleaned out my grandmother and my aunts daily, life saving medications, some of which cost over 300$ a month thanks to our bullsh*t medical system.

While my family are fairly certain they know who did it thanks to the very specific items these individuals stole, there is very little hope of those items being returned, or these people ever being brought to justice thanks to inept small town justice systems. They had a camera in the house, but again, the thieves knew about it and stole it as well  (it was an older chip based system, rather than a WiFi system.)

My grandmother will be 84 years old this month and just suffered a hip fracture. My aunt is 50, and was just diagnosed with Bell’s palsy on Tuesday morning. They are currently raising my two younger cousins who are in first and fifth grades. On Monday my aunt has to put down her beloved dog who is old and sick,
and they were barely making ends meet before this all happened. Literally anything you can offer is amazing and appreciated. Love you all!

(ps, I have not told them I’m running this gofundme because they are stubborn and prideful, and I literally had to shove money in their hands and walk away just to give them gas money for their trip home on Friday. I know where I get it from at least. However, once I have a collection for them I will let them see this link, so please leave comments of love and support for them to read later on!)
