COVID-19 has devastated the lives of many throughout the world. With lingering effects like business closures, unemployment, homelessness, illness, and death, the virus has had a significant impact on the lives of many in our region. The number of families struggling to put food on their tables and acquire life's necessities because of COVID related loss of income and employment has quickly outpaced our ability to serve them...but with your support...there is hope!

Who Are We

Recognized by the Maryland Governor's office, Fountain Community Enrichment is a registered 501c3 non-profit that has been serving the region for over ten years. We are one of three pantries in the area that continued to provide FREE food to families in need during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, choosing to remain open as an emergency food pantry for those in need.

Since COVID closures began, we have seen our programs grow from serving seventy-five families per month to over three hundred per week. Mile-long car lines form outside our building early in the morning for the opportunity to receive free fresh produce, dry goods from our pantry, meat and bread.

In addition to that, this month (November 2020) we will be expanding our partnership with Doctors Community Hospital to provide free health screenings such as mammograms, colonoscopies, cervical cancer and smoking cessation, free housing counseling, and other essential services every Friday during our 11am- 2pm food distribution.

You Can Make a Difference

Fountain Community Enrichment needs to expand the program to meet the expanded needs of the community! With 100% of your donations, we will purchase a larger facility to store and process the goods before distribution, move the medical services indoors, and provide counseling and job training programs--free to the consumer.

With the recent uptick in COVID cases in the state, and the prediction of an upward trend of cases, the negative impact on our families' well-being is sure to increase as well.
