– Projektidee
Das dritte und letzte Jahr meiner Grafik Design und Fotografie - Ausbildung an der Gutenbergschule in Stuttgart ist zentral einer selbstgewählten Abschlussarbeit gewidmet.
Seit Jahren beschäftige ich mich mit den fotografischen Ausdrucksmöglichkeiten, besonders der Portraitfotografie. So wählte ich mir als Aufgabe die Gestaltung eines Bildbandes mit Aufnahmen des Camps im Nordirak (Kurdistan), in das meine Familie aus Syrien geflüchtet ist. Die Geschichten und Schicksale der Menschen und der fragile Zustand zwischen Flucht, Verlust und den sich im Campalltag einstellenden Gewohnheiten gehen mir auch in Deutschland nicht aus dem Sinn.
Wie kann man etwas zurückgeben, unterstützen und wie kann man die Menschen in Deutschland sensibilisieren, gerade auch mit den künstlerischen Mitteln der Fotografie?
Mit solch einem Bildband in der Hand fällt es leichter, aus Erlös und Spenden etwas Sinnvolles in den Flüchtlingslagern in Syrien und dem Irak zu bewirken.
– Politisch geografischer Kontext.
Über Weihnachten 2020 sind wir, Hasan Malla und Markus Ege nach Erbil unter coronakonformen Bedingungen geflogen. Unweit der Hauptstadt der autonomen Region Kurdistan liegt das Camp Kawergosk, in dem meine Eltern wohnen. Es besteht seit 2013 und die Menschen leben inzwischen in schnell hochgemauerten Häusern. In Akre, weiter im Norden, sind die Flüchtlinge in einem ehemaligen Gefängnis von Saddam Hussein untergebracht. Bardarash besteht noch aus Zelten. In der Regenzeit kann man kaum schlafen und im Sommer verlässt einen nie die Angst, alles könnte in Flammen aufgehen. Die Infrastruktur funktioniert nicht durchgängig und die Kinder wachsen nur notdürftig betreut weitgehend ohne Bildungs- und Spielmöglichkeiten auf.
Hier anzusetzen um Menschen bezahlen zu können, die Englisch und Deutsch unterrichten oder kreative Ausdrucksmöglichkeiten wie Malen, Musik Tanzen und Gestalten anleiten, wäre unsere Vorstellung.
Vielleicht gibt es auch eine Projektidee, an der kurdische und deutsche Jugendliche gemeinsam etwas aufbauen können.
-Realisierung
Wir sind zurück, Quarantäne überstanden, die Fotos gesichtet und bearbeitet, das Layout und Texte zusammengeführt.
Die Arbeit ist als Abschlussarbeit eingereicht und für sehr gut befunden worden.

"Heart without a Chamber" Photo book by Hasan Malla
– Project idea
The third and last year of my graphic design and photography training at the Gutenberg School in Stuttgart is devoted to a final thesis of my own choosing.
For years I have been dealing with the possibilities of photographic expression, especially portrait photography. So I chose the task of designing an illustrated book with photos taken at the camp in Northern Iraq (Kurdistan), to which my family fled to, from Syria. The stories and fate of the people, the fragile state between flight, loss and the behavioural habits that arise in everyday camp life, are still etched in my mind while continuing my daily life in Germany
What can one do to give something back, to give support and how can one sensitize people in Germany, especially through the artistic means of photograph?.
-“With an illustrated book in hand, it will be make it possible to raise funds through donations, to achieve something meaningful in the refugee camps in Syria and Iraq.”.
– Political geographic context
Over Christmas of 2020 we, Hasan Malla and Markus Ege, flew to Erbil in Iraqi Kurdistan, under corona-compliant conditions. Camp Kawergosk, where my parents live, is not far from the capital of the autonomous region of Kurdistan. It has existed since 2013 and people now live in simple houses that were built up quickly. In Akre, further north, the refugees are housed in a former Saddam Hussein prison. Bardarash Camp still consists of tents, and in the rainy season you can hardly sleep become of the risks of flooding the tents and in summer you live in the constant fear that everything could go up in flames, either from the extreme heat or the low quality cooktops/homemade open fire ovens. The infrastructure does hold well and the children only grow up poorly supervised, largely without any educational or the opportunity to entertain themselves..
Therefore, the idea is to find ways to be able to pay people who can teach English and German or who could teach or supervise, creative expression such as painting, music, dancing and design, or any other project that Kurdish and German young people can work on together.

We are back to ‘normal’, quarantine is over, the photos have been selected and edited and the layout and texts are merged.
The thesis has been submitted as a thesis and was found to be very good.

The approximate estimated cost is 19,600 euros
We are going to need help to fund the costs for printing, for this book to be able to pass its very important message and imprint in this world, as an empathic, artistic documentation as well as, in one hand basis for, supportive aid measures and on the other hand, where the people, especially the children in the camps, could benefit from in Kurdistan.

كتاب مصوّر ل حسن ملا
سافرت خلال عيد الميلاد 2020-2021 مع صديقي "ماركوس إيجي "إلى أربيل في ظل ظروف متوافقة مع كورونا لتحقيق مشروعي الذي طالما حلمت بانجازه وزرنا العديد من المخيمات:
"كوركوسك - عقرة "آكري" - بردَرش"
تم جمع كل الصور التي التقطتها هناك وقمت بتحريرها وفرزها(بورتريه ،حياة يومية،صور تجريدية،…)
اضافة للنصوص والحالات المستوحاة من معاناة الأهل في تلك المخيمات ضمن كتاب مصور تتم طباعته بتكلفة عالية لتعود معظم عائداته لدعم واقامة دورات و مشاريع ثقافية و فنية ضمن تلك المخيمات .
- شرح الكتاب
الكتاب هو مشروع تخرج لي في دراستي التي انهيتها في مدينة شتوتغارت الالمانية باختصاص "التصميم الغرافيكي والتصوير الفوتوغرافي "، وقد تم تقييم المشروع من قبل المشرفين على فئة جيد جداً .
إذا كان بإمكانك مساعدتنا هنا في جمع تكاليف الطباعة معًا حتى يخرج هذا الكتاب إلى العالم ، كتوثيق تعاطفي وفني من ناحية وكأساس لنشر ثقافة التبرع وإنجاز المشاريع المقترحة من ناحية أخرى ، والتي سيستفيد منها أهالينا في كردستان وخاصة أطفال المخيمات.
