Help Forrest With Transplant Costs
Donation protected
Our very dear friend and former neighbor, Forrest Ballou, was diagnosed last September with a rare blood disease - aplastic anemia. The doctors have tried immune therapy on him, but it didn’t work. Forrest has been getting infusions of blood and platelets weekly for the last year to keep him alive. The only cure for aplastic anemia is a bone marrow transplant. He has been blessed with a perfect match donor. We are setting up this page to help him financially. He is self-employed and has only been able to work part time for the last year. He will be in hospital isolation for an entire month and after he gets home will need 24-hour care for two more months. Forrest will not be able to work during this time and will need help with his monthly living expenses and uncovered medical bills. Forrest is an amazing man with a generous spirit and is always there for others. He has never complained about his condition and its enormous difficulties.
