När man spelar cricket lär man sig inte bara hur man slår en boll, springer, lirar eller skojar med kompisar, som barn lär man sig även hur man beter sig och spela på ett juste sätt. Cricket är en materialidrott. Det kan bli dyrt att spela, man måste köpa utrustning och betala medlemsavgifter. Inte alla familjer har råd med en ny uniform, skor eller slagträ. Kanske deras barn måste sluta spela cricket eller kanske kan barnen inte ens börja.
För att motverka detta, skapade Stockholm Cricket Club ”the Berkley Ceasar Memorial Fund” för att ge ekonomiskt stöd till barn från familjer som inte har råd att spela cricket. Utdelning till de i behov är begränsat beroende på hur insamlingen till fonden går.
Sidan hos gofundme är till för att samla pengar till ”the Berkley Ceasar Memorial Fund” och ge barn en chans att spela cricket med sina kompisar och ha roligt.

When playing cricket, you don’t just learn to hit a ball, run and jump, take a catch and have fun, you also learn life lessons on fairness and fair play. But cricket is also a material sport. And like all material sports it costs money to purchase equipment and pay for training or membership fees. Not all families are privileged to be able to afford a new playing uniform, shoes or bat. As such financially disadvantaged children, through no fault of their own or their family’s, they may not be able start playing cricket or may feel they need to stop playing cricket.
To stop this, in 2019 the Stockholm Cricket Club created “The Berkley Caesar Memorial Fund” to provide support towards financially disadvantaged children in order so that they can play cricket. The amount of money distributed to people in need is dependant on the amount donated.
This gofundme page has been created to raise money for “The Berkley Caesar Memorial Fund” and thereby let those children be able to play with their mates and have fun.
