'For the Town' College App Fund

I never thought I was smart enough for college. In fact, I only ever applied to California's university system because I qualified for fee waivers.

For those who grew up in Oakland, we know that there is an insane amount of hustle, talent, and drive instilled in every single kid who came up in the Town. But the kids don't know that.

So starting this year, and for as long as I can, I'll start donating what I can for fee waivers to high school students in Oakland, starting with my alma mater: Skyline High School.

I'll be putting in $1,000 and hope you are able to help me add to that total. If you're able, please donate anything you can.

College application fees range from $25-$90. Let's not let that be a deterrent. Donate today.

Why Skyline (and additional Oakland schools) need your help:

Math Proficiency: 65% not proficient
English Proficiency: 65% not proficient

Total minority enrollment: 93%
Total students who are economically disadvantaged: 78%
Total students who qualify for free lunch: 69%

College readiness score (out of 100): 22.1
