For The Love Of Ellie

Donation protected
I have started this campaign on behalf of Ellie & Carey Killian.

Since November 28, 2017...
On Tuesday 11/28 Ellie went to her doctor’s office to be evaluated for unusual bruising. She was immediately admitted to USA Women’s & Children’s Hospital in Mobile. Ellie was diagnosed with Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia (APL). After evaluating the treatment options available, the decision was made to air transfer Ellie and Carey(her mom) to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in Memphis, TN.

Since December 3rd...
Ellie had a difficult time starting treatment and was very ill all through the holidays. Currently Ellie & Carey are living in St. Jude provided housing-at the Ronald McDonald House and daily Ellie is at the hospital receiving therapies. This treatment will last for many months.

The Family...
Many of us in Fairhope know and love Ellie and Carey in different ways.
Ellie is a sweet, loving young teen who attends Fairhope Middle School. She is nutured by dedicated Baldwin Co teachers who help her grow & develop and support her on a day to day basis at school.
Carey is a native of Fairhope. Known and loved by so many around our town. She is currently the manager of The Happy Olive. She works full time to support her family.

The Request...
Unable to work and now living full time in Memphis @ St. Jude’s...Carey needs our help. Yes, St. Jude’s provides large amounts of assistance for Ellie’s medical and housing needs. What a blessing this has been!
Back home Carey has to maintain her home in Fairhope, pay insurance, car payments etc.
Carey has never asked for help. As a co-worker of hers at The Happy Olive, I hear from our customers, locals and those from out of town, asking “What can I do to help?”
Carey Killian is a bright light for the city of Fairhope. People come back here because of her kindness and her generosity to others. When others have needed her Carey has always been there to help.
Please help us do the same for her and Ellie. No amount is too small and will make a huge difference in this families life.
Please consider...
1. Always your prayers.
2. A monetary donation.
3. A note/card to let Carey & Ellie know you are thinking of them.
