For the Hardest Working Backwait

Donation protected
So, as a food & bev/restaurant family, we always take care of our own. Without going into too much personal detail, recently, one of our backwaits/hostesses/all around hard working bad ass youngins had a situation where a family member/guardian took all of her hard earned money from the two jobs she works as an incoming high school senior, without her permission, because her guardian had access to her bank account.

Our backwait is an incredibly hard worker, as I said, working two jobs to save money, always willing to pick up shifts, learn new parts of the restaurant (for us she went from hostess to backwait, and she works as a server at a local pizza place to hone her serving skills), always asking what she can do, how she can improve, if she can help us in any extra way, and being a good, honest kid.

And that's what she is at the end of the day. A kid. She is 17, working two jobs, trying her best to be honest, hard working, diligent, reliable, and most importantly, great to be around. She is the type of kid you hope comes into your establishment looking for a job.  We love having her with us.

We at the restaurant have all coached her on opening her own bank account that her guardian can not access, but we want to help her recoup some of the money that was taken from her without her permission.

I know we are all going through it right now with Covid-19 (we are open here in South Carolina, but still feeling the effects and working hard to keep up each day). But any amount to give her back some of her money would be fantastic. More than anything, I want her to know she is valued, her work ethic is valued, her kind and upbeat personality is valued, and that it does not go unnoticed, so any little bit will help.

If you can't donate, please share if you can. I know being in food and bev is like having a big, sometimes inebriated, extended family. If you have a little extra money to help give a 17 year old working her ass off a little glimmer of hope for the future, please help us out.

We will be running the GoFundMe for about a week before I close it out. I know the details are a little vague, we obviously want to protect her privacy because it's a touchy family situation (and she doesn't know we're doing it), but if you have question I am happy to answer them personally about the situation if you want to shoot me a message. Most of y'all know me as I am verified on Twitter (@StefWilliams25), I have done this before for a waitress at IHOP, and will be happy to show the check with her first name on it once it's all said and done.

I promise you, she is a good kid, and she is very deserving of this fundraiser.
