For the family of a sweet soul, Joe Galanti

This is for the tragic and sudden loss of Joe Galanti, an extremely kind teddy bear of a human. Joe was an absolute angel. He was unassuming, polite, loving, and always wanted to make sure others around him were happy, just like those he is survived by, who will now carry this unfair heartache for the rest of their lives. Joe's parents and brother are some of the kindest people you could ever meet. This came as an enormous and nightmarish shockwave to them. There was no way they could've prepared for it, which is why I think it is so important to give them all of the support that we can offer in this horrific time. Many of us will never have to go through a loss of this magnitude, seeing as he was fairly young (only 40 years old) when he passed. This family, if you don't know them, would gladly give you the shirts off their backs without question and make you laugh wildly and think deeply and feed you heartily. They are so genuine, humble, and warm. I know they had been saving for a new home, as they'd lived in the same little house for several decades. I don't want to ask for much from anyone, but it would really mean a hell of a lot (if you are able) to give any little bit to this incredible family.

The goal amount is based on the average traditional funeral costs in NJ of $11,371 plus about $600 directly to his immediate family. I would love to give them more, but I think this would be sufficient and extremely, extremely appreciated in this profoundly poignant and unforeseen turning point in their lives.
