For Ronne's Lady

Our beloved friend and mentor Ronne was called home on 6 June 2020. He has been a part of our family for years, having touched many of our hearts. Ronne was generous volunteering anything that he had to help make the dream a reality. He would drive as far as it took to ensure that our "home away from home" was filled with elaborate costumes, elegant wooden furniture and, complete with a pavilion that became the retreat and centerpiece of our beautiful royal glade.

Ronne's generosity and spirit was very personal for many of us. Ronne loaned out his costumes, hats, eating daggers, and anything else that was required to help new people to experience faire for the first time. He was always willing to bring in something to contribute to feast and the other activities we would plan for the noble glade. He was always willing to share stories from his years in at faire, full of the memories of so many of the lives he touched in his years playing with us in the renaissance . But above all the person who he talked about the most was her lovely wife Mary Lou.

Ronne and Mary Lou met later in life, but you could not tell that they were not childhood sweethearts for the amount of times her name would be uttered from his lips. He was always excited to see young people finding love, and with a chuckle and a tip from his happily ever after with Mary Lou by his side, encourage the younger crowd to take a chance on love. He was grateful for her love and compassion and was always thinking about her.

Between Ronne and Mary Lou's health concerns Ronne took out a second mortgage on their home to help cover the expenses. Now that he has passed, the financial burden falls on Mary Lou who is still battling her own ongoing health concerns. We wish to honor Ronne and Mary Lou through the generosity that he so often shared with each and every one of us.

Mary Lou has requested that Ronne be cremated. At this time during the COVID crisis there is currently no planned memorial service.

Ronne we all miss you very much and that that this small measure of kindness is helpful in some way.
