For my little cousin in heaven Rest in Peace
Donation protected
On the morning of January 1st 2020, my little cousin only 11 years old, was the victim of a violent altercation and tragically passed from his injuries. He was a happy boy, loved by his family, which is comprised of my mother, auntie and cousin. I was supported in starting this campaign by my auntie (Kailym's grandmother) due to the tragic circumstances.
As discussed with Kailym's grandmother, all funds are going to be directly transferred to her to cover any costs associated with the funeral. We understand that some costs will be covered by various entities, which may include First Nations and social service agencies. As we know, these agencies cover basic aspects and does not cover all costs. There are various other costs that are not covered including: an elaborate headstone, memorial feasts, flowers, ceremony and travel for those who may not otherwise be able to attend. These decisions will be made by Kailym's grandmother who authorized this campaign as well as his father, who is my cousin.
Rest in peace little one walk into the spirit word with your head high. You are loved. Even if you cannot support with a donation towards his funeral, please say a prayer, put down some tobacco, burn some sage/sweet grass. Miigwetch
