For Leonel Alvarez

Leonel Alvarez was a very hard working man.  He spent his time working and improving his Puerto Rican Restaurant. He would do anything for his family and community. He was great father, husband, brother, Son, Uncle, grandfather, and friend.

After feeling some discomfort in his respiratory system, Leonel (father of 4) decided to get test for COVID-19 in a precautionary effort to detect the virus and quarantine safely.  After getting tested on the 28th, he received a negative test result in which he was told it was just a sinus infection. After a few days of taking the medication and not noticing any improvement, he decided to get retested. His results came back positive on January 4th, 2021 and was immediately transferred to St. Lukes Baptist Hospital where he was interned for his breathing problems. Soon after arriving he was placed on an oxygen tank to aid in his breathing. After fighting his battle against COVID-19, he passed away on February 2nd early in the morning.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as his family tries to get pass this. He was loved deeply by many people and will be missed. 

The family is seeking help with hospital bills and funeral expenses. Thank you to everyone for their support.
