From Brian Carlin's post:
"If I have learned anything over the past month it is that cancer is a sucker punch. You never see it coming and the pain lingers. Lauren Carlin punched back last Friday with a successful bilateral mastectomy. The prognosis is awesome but the recovery is long and slow both physically and mentally. My pride says I can handle all this but accepting the help of others is much more than a full stomach, it's a full heart. Lauren needs that and I need that. I've watched many (too many) other family members and friends punch back at cancer and they've done it with stamina and poise and now it's our turn. The man upstairs may have a funny way of reminding us what is important but I hear ya big guy, loud and clear! Thank you!"
We are raising money to help the Carlin's with their lawn care (they have a huge lawn!) for the rest of the year:
- 19 weeks of mowing
- 2 fertilizer sessions
- Cleanup of leaves and debris as needed especially in November
Any remaining funds will be given to the Carlin's to use as they choose.
