No One Fights Cancer Alone

Many people in our community have met Lacey Pearson nee: Young through the years, whether it be at the bowling alley, the curling rink, or the golf course. She was born in Stettler and resides in this small town as a single mother of two charming boys, ages 15 and 13.
Lacey went into the Stettler Hospital at the end of May due to pain and discomfort in her abdomen. Upon examination, it was suspected that she was having a gallbladder attack and an ultrasound was ordered. Those results indicated there were seven tumors on her liver. After several days, a biopsy was done on those tumors and at 38 years young, Lacey has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Liver Cancer. Further examination included a liver biopsy which has revealed non-small cell lung cancer.
Due to the amount of pain and discomfort that Lacey is experiencing, her last day of work was earlier in July. Lacey has met with an Oncologist in Calgary and has undergone radiation in attempt to reduce the pain associated with the multiple tumors on her liver. There will be many Dr's appointments and treatments in Lacey's future. She will start Chemotherapy at the end of July.
Despite the difficulties Lacey faces, she is taking on this battle with such courage, strength and grace. Lacey is determined to do whatever she can to fight this aggressive cancer and give herself more time with her family, friends and community.
Lacey has been a good friend to all through the years and we would like to take this opportunity to raise some funds for her so that she can focus on her treatment, her boys, and living life to the fullest. The cost of missed work, travel expenses, medication, and any alternative treatment she decides to pursue, will all add up. Any monetary donation you can spare is greatly appreciated.
On behalf of Lacey, Riley and Brodie, thank-you in advance for your love, compassion, and support.
