Funeral for Josefina Gonzales

Dear Family and Friends,

Our beautiful mother, Josie Gonzales, passed away this Saturday, September 9, 2017. She battled Lung Cancer  for 2 years and unfortunately this terrible disease had won.  We will now be using the funds to pay for her funeral expenses. If you can help donate, it would mean so much to Justin and I and our family. Your generosity will not go unnoticed. Along with our prayers, our dear Momma will be praying for you in heaven...

Here we share her arduous journey tofight this unfathomable disease:

Josie Gonzales battled stage 4 lung cancer, which eventually spread, took over all of her functions until she passed away  at Citrus Valley Hospice in West Covina, CA. She was seeing Dr. Marianna Kocsowitz, a Research Oncologist at City of Hope in Duarte, CA. She underwent numerous chemotherapy treatments for the lung cancer and radiation treatments for a leasions in her brain. Josie was such a tough fighter!!!  Justin and I have tried to be her rock throughout this arduous journey...Unfortunately, her platelet count becamame very low to even get chemotherapy treatment anymore and the cancer had metastasized to other parts of her body. Her doctor suggested that she get in-home hospice care.  We started seeking alternative holistic medicine therapies to help cure her, however all clinics required the money up front and her doctor did not feel comfortable for her to travel far because of her fragile condition. Justin and I had to witness the pain and suffering my mom went through, it has been heartbreaking to say the least.
But we know she is at peace now and no longer in pain. We now just want tohonor and celebrate her beautiful life that she shared with us and give her the proper burial she deserves.
We love her so very much and are already missing her every second of the day....
