I am writing to let you know that Ivonne Davila, our department Administrative Assistant, will be out for a while because her building was consumed by a 6-alarm fire in Sunset Park last night. She was not injured, but she has likely lost everything in her apartment. She lived in the building for more than 20 years and will have to begin the hard task of finding a new apartment in a tough real estate market.
