For Good PGH-Free Store 15104 Truck
We are very sad to share that after nine years and 190,000 miles, our beloved Ford Truck has...gone to a better place. We use our truck to make (at least) six trips per week to Costco, Whole Foods and Trader Joe's to rescue and redistribute food at Free Store 15104, trips to our amazing partners at World Vision for household items - and to deliver donated items from so many partner organizations. At For Good we try to keep our operating expenses as low as possible...but we simply cannot do our work without a truck.
Lucky for us, our friends at Kenny Ross Ford kept their eye out for us and found a truck for us that we think will be perfect to allow us to continue to pick up and deliver rescued food and goods all over the region.
It's a used, 2012 Ford F-350 with an 8-foot cab, and with our trade in, will cost us $25,565.
If anyone has it in their heart or budget to contribute any amount towards this unexpected expense it would be GREATLY appreciated as our rescues are currently on hold since our truck is no longer driveable.
