For Giovanni and Alex Paterno

This is created in memory of Alessandro Paterno, son of Sandro and Flavia, brother to Giorgio and Andrea, and loving father to Giovanni. Alex was loved more greatly than he even knew. We have created this fund in order to benefit Alex's young son, Giovanni.
Alex spent 36 years on this earth, and in that short time, he made a tremendous impact and touched so many lives with his humor, his zest for life, his love of friends and family, and his love of his Italian culture and heritage.
We are beyond heartbroken that he will no longer be here with us in the physical world, and devastated that his 12 year old son has lost his loving father.
We feel that the best way to honor Alex is to care for his son Gio in any way that we can. So we plan to use any donations to begin a college fund for Gio.
We are so very grateful to all of you already for your outpouring of love and support. Please know that it means so much to us during this time.
