I’ve created this GoFundMe on behalf of my brother Scott Melville who is Charlie’s best friend.
23 year old Charlie Crosby collapsed on the morning of 6th June 2019 and was rushed to Barnet hospital by ambulance. They did a CT scan and found a bleed on the brain.
They have put him in an induced coma and rushed him to London Neurological Hospital in Queens Square where he went straight down for emergency surgery that lasted 7 hours.
Charlie had a brain AVM that ruptured deep in the left side of his brain. This is a condition that Charlie was born with and you will not even know about until it happens. This could happen to anyone at anytime and it is just unfortunate that it has happened to Charlie. Charlie is now stable and slowly being brought out of the induced coma.
The staff have told Charlie’s parents that Charlie is a real fighter and that being young and strong should go in his favour. We do not know how much damage has been done yet.
We are hoping that we can raise some money for Charlie and his family at this difficult time whether that be for train fares, hotels, private rehabilitation or whatever Charlie and his family need and want to put the money towards. They shouldn’t have to think about money at a time like this.
When we have any more information we will keep everyone updated.
