electric wheelchair that Better suits my needs

Hi my name is Heather Monger I am from Cornwall where I have lived all my life, apart from two and a half years and I am fundraising for a Bolder F380 electric wheelchair with a total cost of £23,649.

I was born at 29 weeks causing me to have cerebral palsy which affects every aspect of my life. This Bolder wheelchair will give me the ability to be as free as possible as it has many more functions than my current standard chair. It will allow me to rise up to talk to people eye to eye or reach things on high shelves, its gyrostabilizer will mean I feel balanced and safe on the bumpy pavements and roads of Cornwall, its clever footrests will help me with my physiotherapy and relieve the spasms I get in my legs. I have had an NHS wheelchair for the last 10 years but it's now time for something more specialist before my back and hips get any worse. As I sit in the chair for sometimes over 12 hours a day this needs to be right.

In order to raise money for the chair I am going to take part in some challenges. With my friend Francesca I am going to abseil down the O2 on 23rd May. We also hope to abseil down the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth this summer.
