Foothill's OotM Journey to Worlds

This Foothill Middle School “Run Away Train” Team of 6th, 7th and 8th graders (ALL Bancroft Elementary Alumni), ran away with 2nd place overall at the State Odyssey of the Mind tournament at UC Riverside. Now the team will be representing their state of California as well as their school chugging off to compete in the World Finals at Michigan State University.
We are raising money for the team’s journey to compete at this World Tournament in May. They will get to compete against teams from all over the world, stay in the dorms on campus, attend NASA sponsored activities and even be buddies to an international team.
The team will be flying from San Francisco to Michigan and staying on the campus of MSU. Transportation, room and board, shipment of props, and the purchase of a few items to help make this team stand out results in a cost of $1299 per person. The goal listed here is just for the 7 students and 3 coaches. Additional funding for the 4 parent chaperones would also be appreciated.
OM is a creative problem-solving competition that is completely student driven, and encourages students to think “out of the box”. As you well know, the creative thinkers of today will be the leaders of tomorrow. We have the incredible opportunity to contribute to their success. Thank you in advance for doing so.
