Hi, my name is Lena, and I am fundraising for AllStars4Kharkiv team to help with food, medicine and life necessities for people in my hometown Kharkiv. The city is under daily bombardments starting from February 24. According to local authorities on the March 28th there were 1'222 residential buildings destroyed, 69 schools, 59 nurseries, 15 hospitals. Probably about half of the 1.5-Mio-city population has left. However, there are still many people who cannot leave or stay there to support the city: fighting the fires, repairing what is destroyed, fixing the damages (electricity and water supply), disarm unexploded ordnance, free people from the rubble after the explosions, clean the rubbish, working in the hospitals.
Allstars4Kharkiv via local volunteers in Kharkiv helps older, ill, all other people who could not leave the city and are in need right now. The founders of AllStarsDC Zhenia and Sasha and their team at the West of Ukraine now work hard to coordinate and supply humanitarian aid. They collect what arrives to the boarder daily, load the vehicles and trains and send it to Kharkiv volunteers who distribute the food and life necessities address by address around the city and supply hospitals. The humanitarian aid that arrives from abroad is sorted and filtered by the team in a storage in Uzhgorod. All the missing items the team purchase right there in Ukraine and load the packages to Kharkiv.
All funds raised here will be used to buy things in according with the lists from local volunteers, Kharkiv local authorities and hospitals requests. I will keep you posted here about the buying reports and updates and hopefully good news. There is no small help, thank you in advance for your participation!
