Food bags during the Strike

WV educators are striking again for better educational opportunities for all in WV.  When school is closed this leaves many kids without meals that they receive at school.  We want to let the teachers of Nicholas County know that we will step up to provide backpack food bags to ANY child in the county who needs food during the strike, no matter how long it lasts. Last year we donated over 6000 meals to more than 750 kids during the ten day strike.  Each child recieves a breakfast, lunch and two snacks for each day, it costs us about $1.50 per day to feed each child. 
I am setting the initial goal at $1,000, at this point it is unclear how many days we will be out.  If the strike ends quickly (our hope) we will use any left over money for our summer program that provides bags kids.  
Please help, even $5 can help feed a kid for 3 days.
