Food and shelter for refugees in Western Ukraine
The Memory and Roots Foundation was originally established by Alex Rovt and Gennady (Hugo) Gutman (both from Transcarpathia) to restore the largest synagogue in the Ukrainian town of Beregovo (Beregszaz).
Our beloved region is in Ukraine’s Western-most part and, therefore, the area now that today’s dreadful war is causing heart-rending human tragedies as thousands of desperate refugees flock here by the hour for a bit of safety.
Our foundation is now providing food and shelter to people in need arriving in Transcarpathia from combat zones.
We ask you to extend a helping hand to alleviate the fate of as many as possible in these dire circumstances by donating to the Foundation so that we may provide food and shelter to those arriving from combat zones.
