Michael's Family Deserves A Home
Donation protected
A few months ago Michael, the bright new employee at work, asked me if tomorrow was payday, and responded with a sigh of relief when I confirmed that we do get our checks tomorrow. His normally happy, upbeat tone nowhere to be found, I had to ask. “Is everything okay?”
“It’s just my family really needs the money.”
“You have enough to eat, right?”
“No, not really.”
I loaned them $40 for food, and true to word, he paid me back.
In time I learned Michael has been caring for his disabled mother and three young siblings, ages two and four, and the eight-year-old, who is autistic. Their family of five slept in a tiny bedroom, surrounded by boxes piled floor to ceiling, until three weeks ago when their uncle unexpectedly kicked them out.
This family needs a home. Please donate today to help them pay $700 for first month rent, $700 for last month rent, $600 for the deposit, and $60 to cover the 3% service fee to GoFundMe.
With gratitude, gifts above the goal will go toward the purchase of the bare necessities of life.

UPDATE
With the help of many generous people, only one day after this fundraiser began, Michael and his family spent their first night in a place of their own.
Thank you!
