Helping To Rebuild After A Fire

Hello, my name is James and I am writing this on behalf of my parents.

Last night around 8pm, their home in Penticton, B.C. caught fire and much of the house was destroyed. As they are renters, all of their possessions that were lost were just that.. lost.

Details are still emerging and they are trying to see if they are able to salvage anything at all. My sister and I (who both live in Richmond) have been desperatly trying to figure out a way to be able to help them start this incomprehensable recovery process. I was told about this website and decided that there is no shame in asking for help, as the both of us alone can't provide them with enough financial assistance to ensure that they get back on their feet as quickly as possible.

My parents are two of the most welcoming and loving people you will ever meet. They have always been open and willing to help others however they can, and to have their entire World ripped out from underneath them in this fashion is absolutely horrendous.

We are trying to raise money to be able to give to them so that they can start repurchasing some of the things that were lost. Our network of friends and family has been a great help so far, and I am asking from the bottom of my heart for any sort of help. It will go a long way in helping my parents start to rebuild.
