At about 11 p.m. on Friday, September 1st, a Utah Highway Patrol trooper was traveling northbound on I-15 near 5300 South when he saw a blue Honda Civic turn around against traffic through his rearview mirror. Several troopers were dispatched to intercept the vehicle but “within minutes” the Honda had taken the ramp to I-215 — driving eastbound in the westbound lanes — and crashed head-on into a yellow Toyota FJ Cruiser (Dennis & Brenda's car) near 300 West.
The Honda’s driver was killed instantly and we are praying on behalf of his family at this time.
Brenda & Dennis are currently in the Trauma Center at Intermountain Medical Center in serious & critical conditions.
