Jon's Fight Against Cancer !!!

My husband, JON RAY, was diagnosed with cancer on September 25th, exactly 6 months from our wedding day.   It was detected during a routine physical for a new  Active Duty Assignment position that Jon had just accepted with the United States Navy.  The cancer  cell discovered in the neck region has been classified as Squamous Cell Carcinoma.  Jon’s oncologist has told us that after the recent biopsies and other diagnostic tests, he is now stage 4 and has to start radiation and chemo therapy immediately.  The treatment and rehabilitation involves a 4-6 months recovery as well as a move to Salt Lake City, Utah, 1400 miles away from our home in Peoria, Illinois. This will mean that Jon will be unable to return to work until after the treatment and recovery.  All fundraising proceeds will help meet our medical and financial obligations during Jon’s recovery.
