Free Mom Hugs Tour 2017

Over the first few weeks of May, 2017, two authors (Sara Cunningham and Laura Beth Taylor) - who are also parents of LGBTQ kids - will make their way from Oklahoma City, across the midwest, landing at The Stonewall Inn in Greenwich village, New York City on Mother’s Day. Stopping in 10 cities along the way, the goal of the trip is to bring awareness to the importance of family and community support of the LGBTQ community and to communicate a message of love and hope to all those standing in the margins of mainstream culture.
Depending on the funds we raise, each stop will feature a lunch bringing together faith leaders in the community (Let's Talk), and 3-4 mile walk carrying the “Free Mom Hugs” banner through the city (Let's Walk). Our goal is to add a celebration featuring entertainment and encouragement to and from the community (Let's Party!) with the help of corporate sponsors.
If we can reach this goal of $6,500 we will get on the road with the Free Moms Hug Banners! If we can raise more - we have other great things in store!
