Flynns Recovery Holiday

Hi I’m Steve Flynn’s dad,
On the 30/1/2018 it started out as any day like normal our lil man wouldn’t sleep in his own bed so my wife and I both woke to a few kicks from Flynn waking in our bed he woke like normal 100miles and hour and ready to go.
I got up made a coffee and done his breaky on the go packet food (ran out of weatbix P.S doesn’t like the breaky on the go) we where watching cartoons as I was feeding him.
By this time my wife’s awake and getting ready to go out with her mum. The lil mans all dressed to impress as always be it his clothes didn’t match but they where batman so naturally it doesn’t matter when your rocking the dark night lol.
He was being a terror getting in to mischief as all kids do at 15months old but on this day it was different by no fault of anyone my wife made a cup of tea in her travel mug so she could take with her when they went shopping for my bday pressie and a dress for what was up coming events we had.
But as always the lil man got interested and thought hmm I can reach that thinking that the mug is far enough away for edge moment of distraction and before we knew it there was screaming I grabbed him as fast as I could it was moments seconds in fact and we where in the shower to cool him the screaming oh the screaming I cant even begin to explain.
I’m staying as calm as I can an before I knew it the paramedics where there and half hour went by of standing in the shower and watching the skin wash away from my sons body it was horrific and would never wish it upon anyone to have to witness it.
He left in the ambulance for woman’s and children’s hospital where he was in theatre that afternoon to scrape his skin and bandage him up.
I couldnt be there with him cause i had to get my back checked cause on the 10/1/2018 i was pinned between a tipper trailer and fractured 2 vertebrae u do what u have to do i didnt care how much it hurt
Today he had all the swelling come up and was there for a skin clean. As its said got to get worse before it gets better.
Which brings me to where I am now 31/1/2018 at 11:41pm crying as I write this
All I can think is there is along road ahead and as soon as he is able to I wanna take him on a holiday get Flynn my wife laurie and I away so we can all heal as a family I want to take him to an aquarium being in Adelaide there is none. Financially we are not well off we have a mortgage and yes this will be a very big strain on us and I’m not worried about anything else but my son and doing anything I have to for him before anything else
But as I said at the end of it I want to take him away, our family away so anything thing will help I don’t know what else to say but thank you and I hope no one has to go through what we are going through
