Fly Me To Spain

Hi! My name is Grace Sanders and this summer I will be spending six weeks in Spain. I applied to the Indiana University Honors Program in Foreign Languages (Iuhpfl). The application process was very extensive. The acceptance was based on my academic achievements, performance in Spanish, appraisals from two of my teachers and a mentor, a writing sample in the language, and a personal application.  I am one of fewer than 300 Individuals chosen by The IUHPFL Selection Committee to participate in this nationally recognized program!
While abroad, I will attend daily classes in grammar, culture, literature, phonetics and
conversation. In the afternoon, I will participate in planned activities such as theater, singing, dance and
sports. In addition to my coursework and excursions to historical sites, I will live with a host family and learn
more about the language and culture. I will be completely immersed in the spanish culture and language, and required by the IUHPFL to speak Spanish exclusively for the duration of the program.  My parents and I are working hard at making this trip a reality but need your help. My gofundme goal of $1,435 will cover travel expenses. With your help, an afterschool job and a lot of rice and bean dinners, I'll be on my way.
