Our close friend, Juan Maldonado, who was 21 years old, recently lost his battle against mental illness. Unfortunately, he had committed suicide the weekend of November 12th.
He has been suffering for a while, but he was doing good for himself, and wanted to get better. He went to school, had a job, and kept a smile on his face. It is heartbreaking to see someone who was doing so well in life, to be taken from us too soon.
We want to have a proper ceremony for him, because we know that is the least he deserves. We would appreciate any donation, of any amount that would help us, help him, and help anyone suffering from mental illness.
