Flower & Pea's FIP fight

Donation protected
We are Brandi Hodge and Brandy Yates and this campaign is for our foster kittens, Pea and Flower. Our sweet foster kittens have been diagnosed with FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis) and are in desperate need of treatment. FIP is a horrific disease that is 100% fatal in diagnosed cats. Fortunately, there is a lifesaving medicine and we have been able to save 90% of our fosters that have undergone treatment. Unfortunately, this treatment is very expensive and not funded by our rescue.

FIP medicine costs $115 per vial and each kitten will need dozens of vials as they undergo daily injections for the next 84 days. As the kittens grow, they require higher dosages, and we estimate that it will cost $3,500 to fully treat both Pea and Flower. It is imperative that treatment be started immediately as FIP is a fast-moving disease that quickly devastates their tiny bodies. We are asking for
your assistance in funding the purchase of their medicine and helping save their lives.  Donations made to this campaign will be directly used to purchase FIP treatment for Pea and Flower and give them another chance at life.

Flower and Pea both are Patients at Donelson Animal Hospital [phone redacted] just in case anyone wants to confirm they are getting their injections by Brandy and Brandi. The staff at Donelson Animal Hospital will be monitoring their progress and health. We will keep you all updated.

Pea is a sweet and loving 5-month-old kitten who is totally and completely bonded to her brother Carrot. Carrot accompanies Pea on all vet visits, and they cry for one another if separated. Pea refuses to
eat if her brother Carrot is not by her side and the thought of them being separated breaks our hearts. We were devastated by Pea’s diagnosis and the entire veterinarian’s office went silent at the thought of
Pea not surviving. We are deeply concerned for Pea’s health as well as Carrot’s well-being; he needs his sister.
Pea loves anything and everyone and is the sweetest foster kitten. She rubs all over every dog, cat, and human that she meets. She even spreads her love to objects around the house and will fall over trying to get your attention. Pea has many years left to love unconditionally and we will do everything in our
power to make sure she gets that chance.

Flower is a 3-month-old kitten who has been in our foster care since she was just 4 weeks old. She was given away, along with her littermates, and then nursed by a surrogate mama cat named Snow. Flower is the runt of the litter, but she does not let her small size stop her from kissing and loving on everyone she meets. Last week she became lethargic and withdrawn and then her belly began to bloat, and we rushed her to the vet. The vet performed x-rays and bloodwork and confirmed the dreaded diagnosis of FIP.  Flower has undergone 5 days of injections and is already more energetic and showing signs of improvement. We have hope and faith that she will be fully cured of FIP if we can purchase more vials of her lifesaving medicine.
