I have set up a go fund me campaign to donate to Chief Ministers (governor's) distress relief fund in Kerala, India
Kerala(a southern state state in India) is experiencing its worst flood in more than a century. Around 100 people have died and hundreds are missing. Nearly 60 thousand people have become homeless and are in relief camps around the country. These number are growing fast as heavy rains are predicted over the next few days and the state is on red alert.
All the money from this gofund me will be donated to chief minister distress relief fund( shown below in the picture). Any contribution will be helpful and much appreciated.
I'm Som Sarang, a Keralite, pursuing graduate school in USA. I started this campaign to help people having trouble donating USD to the cause as the portal does not accept US credit cards as of now. I'll be transferring the money to my chase account and from their to my ICICI nri account (Indian account) to the CM's relief fund. In order to maintain transparency, I'll be posting all the receipts here. I'll do the first round of transfers on Saturday [edit: since the portal is accepting international debit cards, I was able to transfer money directly without going through the multiple transfer process)
