Al-Mahdi Society Fort McMurray Fundraiser

AlMahdi Society of Fort Mcmurray purchased a building in late 2019, where all shia activities, (General functions, prayers, duaà, youth, and scouts) will be held. We were aiming to have a Grand opening in the holy month of Ramadan 2020, however, due to the combination of a massive once in a hundered year flood, the COVID-19 Pandemic and the ongoing economic downturn, our progress was put on a halt.

Thankfully, the insurance company is restoring parts of the building, but only to its pre-flood condition. However, this will only get us back to where we started and this means that we still have a long way to go in order to repay the outstanding amount on our mortgage.

During the holy days of Ashuraa, when Imam Hussain (AS) sacrificed all that he had in order to protect the divine message that we live upon till these days, we would like to ask all of you to come together and help gather enough funds in order to repay the rest of the outstanding amount on our mortgage. This will Inshallah allow us to continue preserving and spreading this divine message amongst our families, friends and ultimately help the  Shia community of Fort McMurray.
