Flood Relief in Conway, SC

Donación protegida
This is my personal friend Tara.  She is a single mom of two.  She has owned this house for 12 years without flood insurance.  Hurricane Florence hit a week ago and all that rain from NC flows into SC.  She was able to get stuff out but it’s not even going to crest until Tuesday.  And then 4-5 days to recede.  As a Travel Professional I believe we look out for each other.  She has started with FEMA but will need much more.  Please consider donating.  She’s an upbeat, wonderful person who looks on the bright side.  She’s barely sleeping (who can blame her) and is away from her home and safe.  The kids are out of school for 2 weeks. She needs our help!

She will need the funds for renovations to the house after the flood recedes.  She doesn’t even know what she’s facing at this point.

This was her update just today.  2 more days of watching the water rise.  I’m sick for her.

Officially my last update.... it’s just too much to absorb. This is my mailbox. It will be completely underwater by Tuesday. I appreciate all of the prayers and texts. I’ve started the FEMA process and the kids and I are safe staying with family. Several have asked about my needs... at this point I’m not sure. They say it will take 4-5 days for water to recede. At that point I’ll welcome everyone that wants to take out frustration on demo work.
