Flood Recovery for Miss Carmen

Carmen & Billy are dear friends of ours. Their story speaks to the devastation seen in the wake of Hurricane Harvey. They live in River Plantation, a neighborhood of Conroe, Texas. Sadly their home took on 3 to 4 feet of water last year when the San Jacinto river overflowed in a hard rain. They literally just finished rebuilding their home and were struck again with Harvey, taking on nearly 7 to 8 feet of water this time. Their entire 1st floor is a loss.

Carmen & Billy are salt of the earth people, always caring for others.  Carmen has been involved in minstry work the majority of her life and gives unselfishly.  She has accepted this recent loss with such grace, however it significantly affects their lives.

We are not sure if FEMA will allow them to rebuild or not. There are a lot of unanswered questions right now. In these situations there are a lot of things to consider, possible rebuild, relocation expenses, content replacement, the added travel and gas... the list goes on. Insurance only covers basics and it is slow at that. They know, they just went through it all.

Carmen worked for me 8 years and gave me her all. I would really like to repay her for all the heart she has shown and given others. Please consider donating to them for their recovery from Hurricane Harvey.  I know and trust them to be good stewards of whatever they receive.
