Flood Emergency Relief in Pakistan

Dear friends and colleagues,

We, your Global Fund teammates from Pakistan, are reaching out to you for help with the human catastrophe unfolding back home.

As many of you know, the recent devastating floods in Pakistan have displaced over 33 million people, caused 1,300+ fatalities and severely impacted millions of livestock, crops and livelihoods. A third of the country is under-water and those who managed to flee for shelter are struggling to survive. Disease outbreaks are spreading already – including malaria and diarrhea – and WHO estimates over 800 health clinics have been severely impacted. There is a desperate need for effort towards saving lives and emergency support, primarily related to food, shelter and disease prevention.
