Flood destroys Lakeside Martial Arts Club

Donation protected

After 45 years of running a non-profit organization for Port Colborne and the Niagara Region, the Lakeside Martial Arts Club suffered a devastating loss. The recent power outage and flooding in Port Colborne severely damaged the club and its equipment. Lakeside is the home of Lakeside Karate club, Port Colborne Judo club, and Yoga classes. Lakeside provides classes for all members of the community: children, youth, and adults. The floodwater covered the floor of the club, damaging judo mats, sparring equipment, and seating areas.  As a non-profit,  the financial strain of rebuilding the Lakeside Martial Arts club is a heavy weight to bear. This loss gravely affects the Lakeside Martial Arts community and it will take time and support to rebuild.

We are asking for the community to rally together so we may rebuild our home.  If you wish to reach out to the instructors for further information or donations, please see the contacts below.
