Flights for a New Life in Germany
Update: Sunday eve - we are completely blown away by everyone’s generosity. We’ve made the target! The family are so thankful and delighted and so are we. We have now closed the donation link. They are hoping to travel on the 28th Nov and we will go outto join them a couple of weekends later. We will keep everyone updated. Biggest thanks again.
This is the fundraiser for buying 7 x flights to Germany from Athens for our friends, a Syrian family (1 mother and 6 children) so they can be reunited with their father and begin their new life in Germany (they've been apart for 3 years waiting for the asylum process to go through). This will also cover their travel administration costs, travel to the airport, suitcases and the GoFundMe 5% fee.
Robbie and I will be travelling to Germany to meet them after they arrive and to help kit out their living accomodation and settle them in the new city. Any donations beyond the target will go towards helping them get settled and buying things like bedding, school bags or any other necessities they may need for their new life.
We would massively appreciate any contribution you are willing to make to help them - no matter how small.
