Fleckney Floods Fund

Fleckney Village was badly affected by floods on Tuesday 2nd January 2024, seeing some of the worst flooding that the community has seen for many many years. As a community organisation that has helped various community groups in the past for positive projects, it is time to help those under different circumstances. We want to help as many people affected by the floods who need hep as we can, and we are sure as a community we can all pull together on this cause.

This fund will be open to anyone who's property (be it commercial or residential) was directly damaged from the floods who needs support, or any equipment and such like left unusable from the flood water.

In particular, the village hall which was completely flooded out, has been left unusable for what will likely be a number of months while damage is repaired. This will not only result in a loss of revenue needed to continue to pay running/upkeep costs, but also will leave many village organisations and clubs with no venue or damaged equipment that was being stored at the hall. Insurance money will only go so far and is not necessarily a given. Places and organisations like this will be given a higher priority in funding.

Of course we do not know how much we will raise, but every penny will go towards those affected and any payments made from the fund will be displayed publicly. In the event that there is any leftover money, it will be given to the most affected recipient.

Once there are funds we will open a process to distribute any money.

Lets pull together Fleckney and show that community spirit the village is tremendously known for.
