Tom and Tasha fight Leukemia

On Friday March 23rd, Tom got the news no one wants to ever get. " You have Cancer"   A week later after doctor visits, phone calls, plan making and just getting over the shock, Tom is now facing a month long hospital stay at Princess Margaret. Natasha is juggling hospital visits, stays, driving back and forth and taking care of their 2 daughters. I just left Tommy’s house and we decided I would tell everyone what’s going on. Our man Tommy is facing the biggest battle of his life. Tomorrow he heads back to Princess Margaret to begin a month of chemotherapy. Last week Tommy found out in Oshawa through a series of tests and blood work that he likely had Leukemia. He was sent to Princess Margaret where they confirmed that he does in fact. They are going to begin a very aggressive bout of chemotherapy for a month and see how it goes. They are confident that he is going to be able to beat this. The technology they have today is incredible and a few months from now Tommy, Tash, and the girls will be sitting on their boat and their deck up north saying well that was quite an experience! We all know how tough Tommy is and we all know if anyone can kick some ass and get through something like this it’s Tommy. This is going to be incredibly challenging for Tash, Madison and Lilly as well. We’re going to put a fundraising fun night out together to have a laugh and help cover some of the expenses that will come with travel, hotel stays and everything in between, so stay tuned for details about that. In the mean time, I can tell you this..... Tommy is going to need all the positive thoughts and support from all of us that we can pull together. He’s gonna beat this thing no doubt at all but it’s not going to be a cake walk. He has a huge challenge ahead of him. He told me tonight that he’s worried about putting worry on his Mom and Edd , and he’s worried that his friends will be worried. That’s the kind of selfless guy we all know that he is.
