Yes this is a begging message from a fisherman on behalf of the NHS.
We are all going through this challenging time with this COVID-19 so I hope you are at home safe with our family’s but please spare a thought for all our great NHS workers who are right at the frontline of this battle with this horrible disease.
So what I am proposing is a group called (Fishing for the NHS just search the name up on Facebook) all the great Fishing shops, websites, Fisheries, cubs and associations out there if you could spare a bit of time (to join and share the group) and see if we could all get to together and donate something to raise some much-needed money for all the great NHS staff.
I am not wanting the money to go for PPE that’s the governments job I am looking at using the money we raise to buy things for the staff as a thank you but not sure what yet (you're inpute would be great) even if it’s just buying chocolates/flowers and handing them out to the staff it’s something as a way of thank them and showing that we do appreciate what they are doing for the whole of the country
Just so you all know I have quite a few family members who work for the NHS my partner being one so I know what they are going through so let’s get all our heads together and see what we can do as I know the fishing community are a great bunch of guys.
I have added a go fund me page so anyone can add to the cause not just guys who can tie flies.
Fisheries you could offer some fishing for when we get back to normal.
Clubs and associations you could offer some fishing for trout or Salmon.
Fly tiers like myself can offer some flies maybe in a box (that’s what I am offering up) it’s up to you.
Shops and websites you could donate anything that you sell no matter how small or large it will all help much-needed funds.
