first bike that child ever had....

my goal is to get as many new bicycles into the hands of kindergardners and first graders as possible. for many this will be their first bicycle to call their own. i have provided 1450  new bikes in the past nine years to underpriviledged kids here in portland. all bikes are provided through the portland public schoools. the teachers  will determine which kids don't have a bike and make a list. i do fifty bikes at each school.....i bring in an outward source to distribute the bikes  such as the police, firemen, portland trailblazers and the list goes on...every bilke comes with a helmet and the guys help fit the kids with the proper size.i've used the portland police for over a thousand of these bikes because i believe it's important for the kids to know the police in a positive way for the schools i choose are high risk
