First Artisan Exhibition

For as long as I can remember I've always wanted to draw. My earliest memories of this passion is attached to reading Dr. Seuss books and being inspired by the illustrations. Growing up we didn’t have much money and my Mom being the only working parent, couldn’t spare buying me blank sheets of drawing paper. As an artist it’s important to have blank sheets to explore ideas, ink doodles, and whatever dreams (or nightmares) we want to capture on paper. Children can be frivolous with paper so I can understand my Mom’s position at the time.
To resolve my lack of paper as a kid I would search each Dr. Seuss book for the last page. If you are familiar with Dr. Seuss books, actually most books there is a blank page at the end of them. In my juvenile hopes that my prayers would be answered I would go to the last page of a book and if it were my lucky day there would be a blank page to rip out and draw on!
20 years later I am still in search of blank paper, in any form sketch book to post-it. I love paper just as much as I love drawing. Creating new worlds filled with strange characters feeds my soul and gives me a reason to feel happy everyday.
Today I have a body of work I am proud of. I’ve been able to build a happy online network around my art.
Now I believe it’s time to jump into the water and meet the public. I would like to be a first time artisan exhibitor. After my first time I aim to become a regular artisan exhibitor.
My goal is to debut exhibit next year, August 2020. I started a gofundme in hopes that artists, art lovers, and anyone else who wants to make the world a more fun happy looking place to live in will donate. It's time for me to get out into the real world and take my creepy cute drawings with me to show and tell.
