Firefighter/EMT John Clark Jr. Recovery

On Tuesday, November 12, 2019 , shortly after 1:30 am Enon-Mad River Township Fire and EMS crews were dispatched to a single vehicle accident  in the westbound lanes of I-70, east of S.R. 4 near Enon, Ohio.

In the process of working the incident a Semi that had lost control struck not only the vehicle in the original incident, but continuing through and striking the ambulance on-scene. Inside of the ambulance was the occupant of the original vehicle, as well as the duty crew assigned to the ambulance. 

All parties inside the ambulance sustained minor to severe injuries, and the operator of the Semi-truck tragically was killed in the accident. 

Although most of the parties transported from this incident were released shortly after arriving at the hospital, Firefighter/EMT John Clark Jr. sustained severe facial and several other injuries in the impact. 

Due to the extent of his injuries John was transferred to Miami Valley Hospital where he not only required  surgery for the multiple traumas sustained, but was admitted during the process. 

Although John has been discharged, and is now healing from the comfort of his home, this is just the start of a long road ahead. Being a dedicated and passionate public servant, as well as a loving father John is no stranger to accepting and overcoming challenge. The number of lives touched by John in both his Private EMS Transport job, as well as his Emergency Services career is immeasurable.
