Firefighter Glen battles cancer

My dad, Glen, has been battling esophageal cancer since November 2018. He's undergone numerous chemo and radiation treatments in our hometown and in Rochester, MN. He's landed in the emergency room multiple times after also being diagnosed with blood clots in both his arms, both legs, both lungs, and in his heart. These clots inabled him to walk and he was admitted into the hospital for two weeks while my mother stayed in hotels in Rochester, MN. These procedures and hospital stays prevented him from working for 3+ months. My dad continues to be an inspiration to me with over eleven years in the Fire Service as a volunteer at Grand Lake Volunteer Fire Department. I followed in his footsteps by volunteering myself and having the absolute privilege of working alongside my father. We have been on many medicals together helping the sick and wounded, responded to many accidents with people in need, and have fought numerous fires together, but now my dad has a new battle to fight. Glen has always been a "do it himself" kind of guy and he truly has fought this cancer with that attitude. He has been too proud to ask for help, but I'm asking for him. Now at this time I believe his story needs to be told and to show him how many people are here to support him. So please in consideration of donating, understand anything helps in this situation. 

All proceeds will go to current unpaid medical bills, future bills, prescription drugs and unexpected expenses going along with treatments. This GoFundMe is created so those who can't attend the benefit at the Cast Iron on September 14th, 2019 from 4pm until 8pm can have means to donate if they choose to do so.
