Firefighter Chris Burnett's Medical Expenses Fund

Donation protected
Chris Burnett is a long-time Volunteer Firefighter with the Wooster Fire Department and the Greenbrier Fire Department located in central Arkansas.  On Monday, February 17, 2020, Firefighter Burnett was seriously injured in an off-duty motor vehicle accident.  He was sitting at a stop when he was rear-ended by a pickup truck.  His head was turned to the right at the time of impact and was struck with such force that the side of his head struck his steering wheel.  He is currently in the ICU at CHI St. Vincent North in Sherwood, Arkansas and has been diagnosed with bleeding on his brain. He underwent neurosurgery on Wednesday morning to remove a blood clot from his brain.

Firefighter Burnett is a dedicated volunteer with both the Greenbrier and Wooster Fire Departments and responds to many emergency calls.  He regularly gives of his time and energy to help members of these communities who are experiencing an emergency and has done so for nearly three decades.  Just a week and a half ago, at the Wooster Fire Department’s annual banquet, Firefighter Burnett was presented a Meritorious Service Award for his 27 years of dedicated service to the Wooster Fire Department.

With the permission of Firefighter Chris Burnett, this account is being created in a partnership between the Greenbrier Fire Department and the Wooster Fire Department.  The account and all dispersals will be administrated by Assistant Chief Steven Hopwood of the Wooster Fire Department and overseen by officers from both departments.  The purpose is to collect donations that will be used to help pay for Firefighter Burnett’s medical expenses.  Any donation you can contribute is greatly appreciated.  If you are unable to donate, that is understandable.  Please pray for Chris, his recovery, and his family during this difficult time.  Please help spread the word by sharing this page.  Thank you for your time!
